Elaker MP3 Cutter Joiner is a comprehensive software tool that combines audio cutting and joining with conversion capabilities. This application supports batch processing, so that you can cut or convert multiple source files at once. In addition, it supports six of the most popular audio formats for both the input and the output files – MP3, WAV, WMA, M4A, AAC, and Ogg.

With a compact and modest user interface, the program is – generally speaking – intuitive and easy to use. However, the visual design of its interface is not really attractive, and needs to be enhanced. You can add all the source files you want to work with at once, and they will be listed in a special panel. You will see the size, duration, and the status of each file in that panel. You can then select any of those files and play it back using the built-in media player included with the program.

The media player allows you to define different start and end points for the active file, which is required for the cutting function of the program to produce some result. Unluckily, you will need to do this manually for each source file in your list. Besides, you can only define those points while the file is being played. If you want to use the program as an audio converter, you can leave the start and end points of your source files untouched, and simply set the output format and its parameters. Then you will just need to press the "Cut" button to start the process.

As for the joining function, the program will merge all the files in your source list into a single file. This means that you cannot join some of the files only, as it does not allow you to select multiple items. All the functions provided by this program allow you to change the default output format and the destination folder. Moreover, this tool allows you to insert fade-in and fade-out effects in your resulting files. These effects can also be inserted between files when using the join function.

Finally, the program also includes a "Settings" window where you can set the default duration for the fade-in and fade-out effects, the default output format, and the default destination folder. You can also configure specific advanced parameters for each supported output format – for example, for the MP3 output you will be allowed to set the sample and bit rates, the number of channels, and the quality, among others.
